
Stomping their way into the new edition, Monsters bring large scale devastation to small scale skirmishes! Rest assured, Monsters and Monster Characters are still included in First Blood. Furthermore, every Monster will now be playable, even those that were not included previously such as the Fallen Divinity or the Tontorr!
What Monsters lack in subtlety they make up for with unmatched power. Mechanically, Monsters retain their signature 2-tiered Profile, and are nigh unstoppable before they are Injured. Some Monsters enter a weakened state when Injured, while others instead become enraged! Monsters also showcase a new feature of First Blood called Unique Actions. These are either adaptations of an existing Action or entirely new Actions exclusive to them. Many Monsters possess Unique Actions, such as the Mountain Jotnar with their Unique Clash Action Sweeping Blow, where all Engaged Enemies are Hit and are flung away! Or the fiery and ferocious Hellbringer Drake, whose combination of the Overcharge and Immolate Unique Actions engulf groups of Enemies in scorching flame!
Certain Monsters additionally have the option to purchase Riders such as the Tontorr Chieftain, Theokrator, or a Favored of Hormus. These Monster Riders grant the Monster exclusive and powerful Spells and Command Abilities. Monster Characters count as both a Warlord slot and a Monster slot, such power comes at a price!
