Becoming part of the Living World is very easy and can be explained in three simple steps:
You can do this here right now, or at any time by clicking the “Account” button at the top right of your screen.
Once your registration is complete log in with your account and visit the Living World Page. By default, when you first visit the Living World, the map will load on the “Active Stories” layer – in this layer all pins are part of the ongoing campaigns players get to vote on.
Clicking on a pin will spawn a pop-up frame, a “decision node” presenting the situation you are being called to vote on and/or the lore surrounding the pin.
Once you’ve decided what to vote for, simply add the desired amount of votes on the preferred choice by pressing the “+” button then press the “Vote” button at the bottom of the pop-up frame. With the “-“ button you can remove a vote from the ones you’ve assigned but only before the “Vote” button has been pressed.
After pressing the “Vote” button, the system will upload your choice and a new pop-up will load, confirming that your votes have been cast and informing you of the Aghm you have gained; your points in the Account Ranking system. If you have multiple votes, you can distribute them as you see fit: putting one on multiple characters/choices or casting multiple votes on a single choice you really want to endorse. The choice is yours!
That’s it! You are now part of the collective lore-shaping experience that is the Living World, a member of a community that forges its own destiny when it comes to their favorite game and its lore!
Each user’s votes refresh every week, allowing players to see how the world is shaping before casting their votes again – or simply giving players a second chance to maximize their votes in that one all important decision. At the end of a TWO-WEEK period, the most popular choices and their attendant characters will be locked, as their decision is made.
For two weeks the selected characters and nodes will be unavailable as we update them, moving their story along the path the players chose. In the meantime, the players will be able to vote on the rest of nodes and decisions on the Living World, while new options will become available, based on previous decisions. That way, we ensure that all characters will be “activated” and their decisions will be taken, so the world will advance naturally on all fronts.
Every Para Bellum account has a rank. Each player will have several votes determined by the RANK of his account. Account RANK increases with “Aghm”, experience points earned by specific actions and that can increase your rank. During the first stage of our launch, these include:

As one’s account rank increases, so do the number of votes one has each week as well as other perks which will range from access to limited edition miniatures all the way to getting your character and armies written into the lore of Conquest for posterity!

The Living Campaign: Riismark is a narrative and combat event on the Living World, where the future of characters may be changed forever… or even meet an abrupt end.
Wondering how the Campaign will work? Well, wonder no more!
The Campaign will receive weekly updates, with decisions being made during one week (Command Phase) and battles being fought the next (Battle Phase).
All choices result to some form of battle or conflict and all outcomes will be decided by the community and will influence the narrative of the Campaign.
Not all battles, however, are fought on equal footing, nor do commanders always have all the information. If a character decides an all-out assault on a scouting party, chances are they won’t encounter heavy resistance. However, a wise general will try and gather intelligence about the movements of their opponents. Who knows how the enemy is moving their forces in the meantime? Make sure you track the choices of other characters to avoid unpleasant surprises for your favorite side!
All battles, conflicts and even negotiations are resolved through voting during the Battle Phase. In a battle between equals, a victory demands at least 51% of the votes favoring either side; from then on the sky is the limit and the results can vary drastically.
Depending on the balance of forces, some battles may demand a higher (and even much higher) percentage of votes to achieve victory. In those cases, a line over the voting bar will indicate each side’s “target” for victory, so keep an eye out for them!
The campaign’s end and duration are open-ended and will be decided based on the choices of the characters and the outcomes of battles. At the end of the Campaign, the map of Riismark will have been changed forever, as will the future of characters, their factions and perhaps the world of Conquest in general.
The events that led to the Riismark Campaign were decided by our community during the past few months in the Living World and can be seen in the history tabs at the bottom of each character’s card. Our new book, “Conquest Campaigns: Chronicles and Legends” also provides a narrative account of the events leading to the Campaign and even has a map and rules for you to play your own version of the Campaign on your table tops! Should you chose to, you could even replicate with your groups the battles of the Living World and vote according to their results. That way, the narrative will truly be forged on your tabletops!
