Russ welcome to this year’s Season Finals! Tell us a bit about you and your list!

I think Yoroni and SK are still strong going into Chios on acount of the card stack mechanic and the power of magic characters and activations and expect both to place well.

Because the current Meta is well balenced and wide, this list is design to be adaptable and operate well against a wide variety of opposing list archetypes and scenarios, whilst remaining faithful to the true Nords style. It’s a tool box that requires precise piloting.

I’ve been playing Conquest since mid 2024, the idea of a large scale rank flank with the mix of historical and fantasy drew me in, the skew towards skill being the determining factor of success kept me engaged and seeking mastery. The welcoming and enthusiastic community is very strong both locally and internationally. The pace of change and complexity of interactions across the game is good an results in the right level of challenge.

Thank you for your kind words and it is true that this year the faction’s are the closest they have ever been power-wise. This year it will be quite difficult to tell who will do well solely looking at the lists! 

Pawel and Mateusz, as Judges and Designers, what do you think of the list?

This list, while not having regiments as fast as Spires Abominations and Weavers Wyrd Knights, has a great equalizer which is the Shaman Warlord. The game plan is focused on capitalizing the disadvantage that Skyvald Supremacy Ability forces upon enemy Regiments. A solid mix of Fenr Speed, Goltr Damage, Trolls survivability and Werewargs Ferocity will be a major threat for every contender. Russ will have to be cunning and flawlessly estimate Battlefield Situation to seize the Crown of the World Champion for Nords.

Are we going to see a Nord World Champion? We are definately expecting a ferocious battle as the Nords descent upon the coasts of Chios! Make sure to read the list below and stay tuned for more Finalist spotlights!
