I am Leo your Conquest Community Manager presenting Mark’s “Doordashin’ in a Cattle-ac”
Mark, it’s exciting to have out with us this year! Tell us a bit about your list.
My list wants to use the early pressure from my chariots to dictate the tempo of the game, while setting up my Thyreans to deliver finishing punches. The two bricks of infantry have the extra bodies to soak up some early chip damage while they try to set up favorable positioning for the scenario. By keeping to only a few card types, I get the option to respond to changing priorities during the turn, as 4 of the same chariot card or two of the same minotaur one can both activate their respective spread out regiments.
But the list lives or dies based on how those big expensive bricks perform, and given my eternal love of the hoplite model, I’ll always bet on my boys! And backed up by a wall of beef, we’re ready to stop the opponents charges and then counterpunch for victory
Apart from a great player you are also an amazing Vanguard! How did you get into the game?
I’ve been playing Conquest for about three and a half years. I had a friend who painted up the Ice Jotnar in 2022, and as soon as I saw the previews for the City States, I was hooked! I’ve gotten to meet people from across the US because of this game, whether we’re talking about playing and judging Adepticon or hosting and attending events at community shops. And now, I get the honor of meeting and playing with the best players in the world!
They truly are the best Conquest players in the world and the level of play will be really high! Pawel and Mateusz, as the Judges and Designers what do you think of the list?
The list name says it all! We also think that Minotaurs are the MOOOO-st have option for City States. Doordashin Chariots are a threat impossible to ignore that will create space for Polemarch Warlord + Phalangites combination. Overall a very solid list archetype with two blocks and multiple regiments around with a different role to fulfill. Tanky Cows, Killy Cows with a little help from humans is something that Mark hopes will get him a Crown of the World Champion and we do not think that is unlikely!
