My Yoroni list is not the best list in the world. It is not even the funniest list in the world. So why did I choose it?

This year, I’m currently #2 in the global ranking, so obviously I’ll be trying to win the tournament. Winning such an event is not only about your best performance – you also have to try to predict the meta and adapt to it. Sorcerer Kings (Fire and Water), W’adrhŭn, and Weavers are in my opinion very powerful, and 14-activation list with a Glorious Charge and so many flanks is a solid answer to Efreets (or Ponies), Wyrd Knights, and Quatls. For the whole year, I’ve been playing the [FU] (birds) lists.

They are great and fun to play but they struggle against these armies, and Chariot spam as well. This Japanese-kind-of-demon list is average against Dwarfs and struggles against triple-Talos lists, but they are not that popular, so I hope I won’t meet them. A year ago, reinforcement rolls betrayed me, as did casting Mahotsu (during the final, 4 out of 5 important spells failed). This year, I fixed these problems: no magic, no risky charge rolls (Juggernaut on everything), and x2 Flank on Heroes. We’ll see how it works 😉

You’re mentioning here a very interesting dimension to Conquest, that the list itself albeit important comes second to understanding the game and exceptional piloting. Understadning the inner workings of a meta especially such a diverse one is critical and we’re excited to see how you do! What was it about Conquest that captured your interest?

Conquest has great models – maybe not all of them – but I fell in love with Yoroni, W’adrhŭn, and Old Dominion. I really wanted to play with a T-Rex, but a friend of mine was quicker and bought W’adrhun before I did… That’s why I can only admire W’adrhun from a distance – on the opposite side of the table! =D

We are certainly happy your friend got to W’adrhun first as this way we get to see some top level Yoroni plays! Pawel and Mateusz, you have faced Kamil on the battlefield before, what do you think about the list?
