Ruben its a pleasure to have you with us this year! Tell us a bit about yourself and the list!

Hi, I’m Rubén; my tournament nickname is Aarcael12. I started playing less than two years ago thanks to my vanguard. ​I was originally a Spires player, but since the strains came out, I don’t like their playstyle, hence the name of my army. 

I enjoy playing highly mobile armies, so for Chios, I’m bringing a Summer Court Weavers list. It includes 5 Wyrd Knights, which are highly mobile and hard-hitting units; although weak in resilience, they allow for early scoring or act as glass cannons. Then there is the Seancha Warlord combo with Wardens, whose shooting can dominate a large area of the table, and the Skirmishers provide a cheap way to increase pressure in that regard. Next, the Crann provide good seed generation and are a unit capable of holding an objective.

​Finally, the strongest unit is the Gallowglass Warriors, which become a problem for any enemy.”

You weren’t kidding about liking highly mobile armies! It will be really interesting seeign those Wyrd Knights in action! Carlos tell us a bit about you!

Pawel and Mateusz (Chios Judges) what do you think about the Wyrd Knights? What’s the plan here in your opinion?

Two Spanish Players Ruben and Carlos decided to put the same list to the World Championship. The plan for Wyrd Knights is to use a High Threat Range and High Damage combination to eliminate most valuable opponents pieces even if it will cost them their lives. Then to clean up what’s remaining with Gallowglass and attached Characters combination. Both Players have to be very precise in their execution as every mistake could determine if they will claim the Crown for the Weavers.

That is exciting and I surely am looking forward to see how they perform. It is Chios afterall so we do expect highly tactical precision gameplay! Make sure to read the list below and stay tuned for more Finalist spotlights!
