I am Leo your Conquest Community Manager presenting William’s “From Canada to Chios!”
William it’s a pleasure to have you in our little corner of the world! What are you bringing to this Season Finals?
Hi I am Will Dodd from Canada and I am bringing The Children of Rosaria (Old Dominion).
When my friends and I were getting into Conquest we each picked out a faction, I decided I wanted to go against the typical type of army I normally pick, anything elf-like, and decided Old Dominion was about as far from an Elf army you could get in Conquest.
The Fallen Divinity itself immediately caught my eye, and having extensive experience using similar types of regiments in other game systems was a natural fit for my play style. It’s the army I am both most comfortable playing in Conquest and have had the most success with.
What matchups do you think you pair best against? What are some difficult matchups for you?
Fallen Divinity plays well into lists that lack ranged output or that run expensive deathstar type regiments or lots of monsters. MSU shooting armies pose a significant threat though and will require a more cagey approach.
It seems there is a good mix of lists in this year’s finals so it’s fair to say that you will be seeing a bit of both! What got you into this game, what captured your attention?
The Aesthetic of the miniatures and after looking into it some more the setting. Once we tried our first game by round 3 we were hooked by the command stack mechanics & alternating activations.

Some say that The Fallen Divinity is a patron deity of Canadian Conquest players. Is it because this list is very peaceful? We do not think so. St. Rosaria the Compassionate will absolutely murder everything on her path – that is if she gathers enough Power. To ensure that she brought the support of two Hierodeacons to generate power. However, it’s not the only tool in the Army List. Kanephors will act as versatile bruisers while Moroi and Kheres followed by Cultis and Legionairs will turn the battlefield into a true tarpit for the enemy. We think that might let William use his Warlord to cull his way to the Crown of the World Champion for the glory of the Old Dominion.
