KublaCon in Burlingame, CA celebrated it’s 25th anniversary in 2026 and Para Bellum celebrated our 4th annual Conquest World Championship as well in partnership with KublaCon as well. This was one of KublaCon’s biggest events to date and marked a major jump in our World Event attendance, growing from 6 players in our first year to 19 this year.
Our first place winner Nick, playing Hundred Kingdoms is first year gaming savant playing out of Nevada.
Second place winner, Steve played Dweghom out of Nevada; which won both the Best Painted Army in the World Event and won first place in the KublaBrush Conquest paint category.
Both Nick and Steve got into Conquest through Vanguard David who demoed his first Conquest game at KublaCon 2 years ago and now the Reno, Nevada area players have grown over 10 players traveling for World Points across the US.
Third place goes to the Napa, California Vanguard Ben who is a menace with Old Dominion and Sorcerer Kings.
Conquest at KublaCon has historically been a great experience for new players, and we’ve always had it be someone’s first Conquest tournament. But this year we actually had 4 first timers! We also had another tie (not our first one) for Best Sport which is always the best place to have a tie.
