Chios is just around the corner and we are taking a closer look on this year’s Chios lists and a few words from the players themselves! Are there lists that you like or would have approached a different way? Make sure to join us on Discord and let us know!
I am Leo your Conquest Community Manager presenting Gašper’s “Insomnia”.
Gašper welcome to our little corner of the world! A big shout out to you, Grega, Tin and Andrej for joining us for this year’s Chios Finals and we’re excited to see you representing the Amulet D20 Team! Tell us a bit about you and what you’re bringing to our Chios Finals tables!
I am Gašper Perko from Slovenia, and I am bringing a mono-Water Sorcerer Kings army.
When I first saw the rules for the Water models, I immediately started putting the list together in my head. Looking through the characters, the Raj immediately stood out to me as the best choice for the army. Throughout the summer, I refined the list with the help and advice of members of the local community.
The Sorcerer Kings are by far my favourite faction. I chose them mostly because I love the aesthetic and feel comfortable playing them.
What I like most about my list is its flexibility and adaptability. It can play in a variety of ways, allowing me to adjust my game plan depending on what I am facing. My playstyle tends to be slower and more careful, so I prefer to adapt to my opponent whenever possible rather than committing to a single strategy from the start. Having more cards than my opponent helps a lot with this style of play, giving me more options and allowing me to react to what is happening on the table.
I have been playing Conquest for three years now. What originally pulled me into the game were the local Vanguards, Ulverbite and BrillyOneye, as well as the community that was just starting to grow around the game. To be honest, this is my first real wargame, and the learning curve was quite steep. I didn’t particularly enjoy my first year, as there was a lot to learn and I struggled to find my footing.
However, over time, things started to click. The more I played, the more I understood the game, and eventually I really started to enjoy it. The community around Conquest has also been a big part of that journey.

Community is indeed the most important part of the Conquest experience and we are so grateful for Vanguards like Ulverbity (Andrej) and BrillyOneye (Tim) who spread the love for the game! Let alone the fact that your team is organizing the largest Conquest event to date the Amulet D20 Grand Tournament in Slovenia!
Pawel and Mateusz, as Designers and Judges, what do you think of the list?
What can be more dangerous than water? The answer is simple – Water with the lance attached. This list is as versatile as something fluid. Composition of all core water elementals will provide much needed consistency to the list as well as balance between magic and raw physical power. Sorcerer Warlord was selected to cast as many spells as possible to both; buff friendly regiments and shoot enemies that dare coming too close. Can water elementals lead by Amulet Champion stop us from sleeping at night? Maybe. But most importantly will they be enough to water down other participants’ dreams of seizing the Crown of the World Champion?
Do you think the Slovenian Champion will earn the title of Conquest World Champion? Make sure to read the list below and stay tuned for more Finalist spotlights!
